Welcome to Robert E. Lillard Elementary Design Center
Dear Friends,
Welcome! I am glad you have chosen to visit our school’s website. Robert E. Lillard Elementary Design Center is a fabulous facility that serves students in Kindergarten through Grade 4. We are a Design Center that has a strong focus on Advanced Academics. We provide learning opportunities that are inquiry based and that address the higher level thinking skills throughout our curriculum. Our faculty and staff are a friendly, caring and supportive team working to provide the very best educational experiences to ensure academic success for all!
The students that attend Robert E. Lillard must make an application through the Magnet School Office. They are selected from the lottery to become a part of our school. If they accept the invitation to our school, parents must make provision for transportation to and from school. School Bus transportation is not provided, however, before and after school care is provide by the YMCA and other child care facilities in the area.
Parents are a great asset to our school. We partner together and work as a team to provide the richest learning opportunities for all our students. Our Parent Resource Center is a unique feature for our school. Parents are able to check out materials to help with the teaching and learning process at home. Workshops are provided to address the needs of our school community. We do whatever it takes for our students to have an enriching and successful school year. Our motto is “Every Day is a Learning Day at Robert E. Lillard Design Center.”
Take a tour of our Website and we hope you will make Robert E. Lillard Elementary Design Center your school of choice.

Sincerely,
Debra B. Thompson
Principal
