Mt. Gilead Church

Mt. Gilead Church on Acklen Avenue officially became Lillard School's PENCIL Partner December 16, 2008.  A ceremony was held at Lillard School at 9:00am with parents, community members, and all students and staff present.   Fourth grade student, Lauryn Murphy extended the welcome and led everyone in the Student Pledge and REL Mission statement.  The fourth grade students sang "Seasons of Love" led by music director, Ms. Valeria Aziz.  Judge Angelita Blackshear-Dalton presented the PENCIL Partner certificate to Elder Roderick J. Glatt, Mt. Gilead Church Pastor.  Ms. Jacque Green, Director for PENCIL Partners, was present for the certificate signing. Principal Debra Thompson acknowledged Lillard's PENCIL Partners:  Krogers on Clarksville Hw and Cathedral of Praise.
